Rural community tourism is the offer of tourism services provided by an organized community, participating, benefiting and getting involved in the different links of the tourism production chain, generating greater well-being, development and economic growth, valuing the natural and cultural characteristics of its Environment, enabling them to provide competitive, quality and sustainable services.

The Arví Park Corporation is committed to the integral development of the territory through the implementation of the Community Rural Tourism strategy. Under this premise, it supports the integral strengthening of cultural, artistic, social, community organizations, as well as productive units and families of the territory in processes of formation, formalization, social cohesion,  entrepreneurship, qualification in the provision of tourist services, social co-responsibility and with the territory.

In this process, the Corporation works with the organizations of the community that have improved their quality of life and have had business growth thanks to the work articulated by the sustainability of the territory. Learn more about these organizations here.

FUMDARVI was formed in 2007 and is made up of 33 representatives of productive units of the district of Santa Elena and the municipality of Guarne, who gave life to the Arví Market. This foundation involves farmers, food processors, and craftsmen who produce typical and representative elements of the corregimiento and Antioqueño culture.

Parque Arví Corporation carries out an integral accompaniment of sensitization, education and training in social, environmental, business and tourism issues for all its members, which allows the consolidation of the association, a united group, with clear objectives and metrics and above all committed to the environment and the integral development of the territory.

FUMDARVÍ was formalized in 2015, generating the possibility of undertaking cultural, artistic, social, educational and environmental activities for the development of the territory.

Arví Park Corporation, with the support of other public entities such as the Public Space Undersecretariat and the Infrastructure Secretariat of Medellín, joined forces to sell 24 vendors located on the main thoroughfares of the Park, especially in El Tambo and Chorro Clarín, were united in a legal and formalized organization called 24 Green Leaves, who were relocated in 24 modules and booths in a formal way, in addition to receiving the company's socio-business support.

The members of this organization have found a source of fixed income, which has allowed their change of economic vocation, previously based on the extraction of forest products and the commercialization of them.

The Craftsmen Corporación of Santa Elena "CORASANTE" consists of 15 artisans from the village, with the purpose of promoting the activation of the territory through the creation of spaces and events where the artistic and cultural diversity of the territory is revealed.

CORASANTE participates in the Arví Market, where it has participated in processes of environmental awareness, good environmental and manufacturing practices, as well as in business strengthening processes.

They have a handicraft store located on the main street of the village in the area of La Montañita, where they display and market handicrafts and articles made by their partners, as well as supplying the raw material for artisans in the territory.

It is one of the youngest organizations in the territory, but one of the most consolidated. Conformed by 13 inhabitants of the town, this organization has two lines of action, the first focused on the commercialization of artisan and gastronomic products elaborated under parameters of ecology, innovation, and quality. The second line is the logistics operation of events, being its main source of economic income. Among the events that operate are the Silleta Festival, the handmade samples of the main park of Santa Elena and events of territory like the gastronomic festival, festival of sancochos and the logistic assembly of the Market Arví.

They are part of the Arví Market and actively participate in all the processes that the Arví Park Corporation develops in issues of environmental awareness and education, good practices in manufacturing and innovation and product quality.

The Association of Organic Producers of Piedras Blancas Guarne, is made up of 18 farmers and inhabitants of this path. This group was formed after the individual participation of the current partners in a food security project, agricultural reconversion and good agricultural production practices developed by Corporación Parque Arví and CORNARE as a strategy for the care and conservation of the Natural Reserve area Of the Nare River.

Asorganicos has 5 community gardens where they put into practice what they learned in cleaner production issues and where they extract products for the family consumption of their partners and for the marketing of surplus, this marketing is done under the strategy of basic markets or processed products such as preserves, desserts or dehydrated. They are examples of teamwork and environmental responsibility.

The Cooperativa Multiactiva de Santa Elena is one of the oldest organizations in the town, it offers services of a non-bank branch, pharmacy, a nursery of ornamental and arboreal plants.

This organization participated in the development of the project Sustainable Forest Management led by the Arví Park Corporation with resources from the Government of Finland in which the technique for the reproduction, hardening, maintenance and commercialization of Orchids, Bromelias and Anturios was announced.

They have been suppliers of the Corporation of native tree species which have been used for the different processes of compensation and environmental restoration that is advanced within the Arví Park.

The Environmental Association of Recuperators and Service Providers of Santa Elena "ARPSE", is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the quality of life of its associates, their families and the community of the community, through activities aimed at the management and Maintenance of green areas, public and private spaces. It has a high-quality human team with technical expertise in forestry and landscaping, solid waste management and use, environmental education, ecotourism, and agro ecology.

The Tourism Network of Santa Elena is a community-based territorial organization made up of providers of tourism products and services in the region, in order to offer national and foreign visitors, as well as the local community, a place full of tranquility and warmth between Of a natural environment, contributing to the local economic development, the preservation of the natural resources and diffusion of the cultural patrimony of the district of Santa Elena.

The Arví Park Corporation supports the strengthening of the Network through the implementation of territorial tourism activities and the management for the qualification and certification in sectorial rules of the different providers of tourist services.

With the support of the Corporation, 4 service providers of the hotel sector (Montaña Mágica, The Ranch, Casa Mosaico Hotel Boutique and Montevivo) obtained certification in sectorial technical norm NTS-002.

As a territorial promotion strategy, we have sought to consolidate the sub-sectors of artisans and gastronomy through the realization of artisan and gastronomic festivals, events belonging to a territory agenda strategy led by the Arví Park Corporation in alliance with the Development Center Business Zonal CEDEZO program of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Mayor of Medellin.
